The Savoia Palace

Located right in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Savoia Palace is just 100 metres from the central thoroughfare – Corso Italia –  and benefits from a wonderful view of the Dolomite valley.

The complex is composed of 5 above-ground floors and a basement floor. The basement plays host to a number of service spaces and an underpass that links the building with the below-ground floors of the Grand Hotel Savoia, where there are parking spaces reserved for guests staying in the apartments.

On the ground floor, which plays host to the main entrance to the residence, you will find the reception desk, porter’s office and communal spaces for guests staying in the apartments (bar, breakfasting area).

The first, second and third floors are home to 45 luxurious apartments, all of which feature a living room/kitchen area and a bedroom area (with 1 or 2 bedrooms; the lounge is also equipped with a double sofa bed) that have been painstakingly finished and furnished in typical Ampezzo style, using the very latest construction materials. The units come complete with a balcony or terrace, which affords a spectacular view over the chain of the Ampezzan Dolomites.

The serviced apartments can be booked on a short- or medium-term basis to cater to your requirements.

Our History

The building was constructed in 1937 as an annexe to the Grand Hotel Savoia, the origins of which date back to the early 20th century. The annexe was usually referred to as Savoia 2.

Both of the buildings have undergone major internal renovations and expansion programmes, which have recently been completed and have restored their original lustre.

In 1939, the opening of an underpass between the hotel and the annexe made the newspapers. The roof was even equipped with a swimming pool/solarium for use by guests.
